Falcon Badminton Club (FBC) is based at West Totton Community Centre to the West of Southampton, close to the New Forest in Hampshire (UK).

FBC was founded in the 60’s, we understand by staff of the former British Gas Company based in Southampton.

For many years the club ran with a membership of around 28 or so and entered two teams each year in the local Waterside league.  At that time the clubs two teams operated under the names Falcon and Kestrels.

In the last 10 years we gradually entered further teams in the Southampton and Winchester leagues.  We currently run 7 teams in three leagues supported by a membership of 43 seniors and 12 juniors

In 2007 we decided to do two things a) apply for a lottery grant in order to develop a Junior Club b) move to 100% use of feather shuttles to improve the quality of our game and change the way club nights were run.

Last season (07/08) we introduced streaming for the first time in an effort to try and cater for all abilities and standards on a club night.  By grading, or streaming we ensure that for a period of time during club night players of a similar ability can play together.
